TOP 12 THINGS WE’LL MISS ABOUT LIFE AT
CHARMERS LANDING
6. There’s something magical about the sweet smell
of ocean air on a cool summer's eve. While having
drinks on the lawn with some old friends.
7. Every summer my grandparents had the whole
family over for the month of July. As kids we
watched the fireworks from Compo beach while
sitting on the lawn each fourth of July.
8. My daughter used to grab bread & run down to
the water's edge to feed the swans. One swan
had a misshaped foot, and she named it Gosling.
Every year she would look for Gosling & her new
brood of little cygnets. It got so that when Gosling
would see her, she would lead her cygnets close
to the beach to proudly show them off.
9. One evening I was cutting the lawn & sitting on my
tractor; I looked out over the water admiring the
sunset. As I sat watching, I sensed a presence to
my left and looked over to see the most splendid
white 6 point buck, also taking in the view.
10. Living on the water, sometimes I think I raised 3 fish
instead of 3 children.
11. Once you live on the water & experience a horizon
that never ends, you’re spoiled for any place else.
12. One of the best things about living at Charmers
Landing is being just minutes from the restaurants &
nightlife of Saugatuck, Compo Beach and
Longshore County Club. A lifestyle beyond
compare - an hour to NYC - yet always feeling like
you are on vacation.
