INTERVIEW WITH THE HOMEOWNERS OF 155 PEMBURN DRIVE

Q: Q: Please describe the renovation process you went through while updating your home:
A: A: During our renovations we worked with a local architect to design the beautiful home you see

today! Many of the unique design features were created by us to suit our family and entertaining
lifestyle. We decided to keep the original footprint of the house that was built in 1953 because
it was such a great layout. We later enlarged it in 2005 and added the second floor! Every single
element in this home was chosen by us from the large airy features like the windows to the
smaller details like the fixtures to the door knobs and hinges! We have loved our time in this
sweet home and will miss our time here.

                    Q: Why are you moving?

A: This home has become a very dear part of our family over the years and we made the very
difficult decision to put this home on the market to fit the needs of our growing family. We hope
that the next family that will inherit 155 Pemburn Drive will find as much joy, happiness, and love
in this home as we have over the past 20 years. It is truly a very special home that we will sorely
                         miss!

Q: Will you miss the neighbor/neighbors?
A: One of the nicest surprises we’ve found by living here has been how close we have become with

all of our neighbors. They have become like a family to us. They are always there to lend a hand
when needed, or even to enjoy a cup of coffee on the back porch with. Everyone knows each
other here and we all look out for one another. Our children have become great friends with so
many of the neighbors' children of varying ages. When they were younger, they were constantly
outside playing games, riding bikes, hosting lemonade and cookie stands, etc. It has always been
a safe and inviting street and the kids were always welcome in each other's homes.

Q: Tell me about the grounds...

A: One of our favorite features about our home is the kousa dogwood tree in the backyard. It
has the most magnificent white blossoms every June, the entire tree is covered in them. The
backyard is such a pleasant oasis, shady in the summer and sunny in the Winter.

Q: What made you want to add the Tree House? Tell us about the process..
A: We were fascinated with the TV show Tree House Masters and decided to try to build one
ourselves! The project quickly took on a life of its own from being a simple platform treehouse,
to the beautiful creation it is today. With some engineering advice from the Tree House Masters

experts, a work of art was created! It was a slow process that took several years but, the finished
product was well worth it. The roof is quite unique, it’s a reciprocal roof and was one of the most
intricate and time consuming parts of the project. The treehouse features: casement windows,
electricity and plenty of space for two hammocks!

Q: Did you ever consider putting in a pool?
A: We did consider it but, we did not want to lose the Koosa Dogwood tree that we grew to love so

much! There is plenty of space in the backyard for a fabulous pool and entertaining area.
