“Convincing teens with short attention spans to play Madden NFL year after
year is no easy task. Rather than resorting to short, ‘snackable’ content to reach teens, we bucked trendy practices and opted to tell an entertaining story not limited by format. Knowing that our teen audience’s interests, passions and inside jokes collide on the Internet, we made the ultimate piece of content combining the things they love most, from movies to football to catch phrases to athletes to celebrities. In the end, “Madden: the Movie” broke the Internet with a five-minute-long Bollywood action film full of pop culture references, NFL football stars and skinny little Hollywood actors.”
