ACROSS INFERNAL WASTELANDS
FERNA > MONTERREY
Then, in 2007 when we recorded our “Echado a Perder” demo, we turn our music more to the Metal sounds with a Darker view of life, we made 200 cd-r demos, after that recording my wife Venus quit the band, she was the bass player and Saul join the band and stay until this days. Several guitarists come and go. In 2010 a good friend of mine, Haroldo from CATHETER (Grindcore U.S.A. band) propose to put out a 7”, so we took 3 songs from our “Echado a Perder” demo to put out this release, 2000 copies were made it. In the fall of 2013 we recorded our new release, now with a new guitarist and more Metal influence and Darker and Occult thoughts with and Apocalyptic touch. The release is now available on pro tape, soon during these year, will be out on vinyl and cd.
The mean reason of the band, after make our music and share our thoughts is to talk always in first person, we don’t come to talk shit of anybody, we first talk shit about ourselves, we don’t have the absolute truth and also we always wanted to tour and meet new people and share thoughts, we made several tours in Mexico and after a long life plan, we toured Europe last year and it was an amazing experience, with lots of downs, but amazing!!!
After living 4 years in Chicago U.S.A. I came back to Mexico and start REACCIONA label and EL DISPENSA- RIO record/info shop. I used to play drums in Chicago for YOUTH AGAINST... (Political Angry Latin HC/Punk) we put out a L.P. release called “La Revolucion de los de Abajo” on vinyl and when I came back to Mexico
I started my label doing a tape release of that L.P. My desire was to put out releases of bands that have something important to say to people and then I put out some other tapes of some other cool bands like: RASH, FORMER MEMBERS OF ALSONSIN, @PATIA NO, ODIO, PETROGRAD, LOS CRUDOS, SCHIFOSI, LCDLC, etc...
In that time I booked tours in Mexico for some bands like FORMER MEMBERS OF ALFONSIN, DEATHTREAT, TRAGEDY, SIGNAL LOST, FORCA MACABRA, WORLD BURNS TO DEATH, NO SLOGAN, REACCION, etc...
Also in 1999, I opened my record shop EL DISPEN- SARIO and since that time I’ve been working only on that, I still have no other job and it’s been really hard to survive, we have 3 kids and now with internet, face- book and all this shit, things seems will be harder than before, in Mexico no one reads, no one buy records
or fanzines, now everybody is with their smart cell- phones connected to that crap of facebook.
Around 2000 some friends, Alejandra y Beto from Exa- brupto recs. join us to the shop and had the idea to sell food and we started to sell soy sandwiches, until this says, you can find those sandwiches on Saturdays. It’s been a long way, with lots of downs, but still sur- viving against all, always independent, always Under- ground, always D.I.Y.
Tell us about your history with punk and politics. Tell us about REACCIONA and EL DISPENSARIO, and soy sand- wiches! You said it’s one of few things in Mexico that has lasted ten years?
LCDLC started in 1999, in that time, we wanted to do
a Crust band with some Punk view about life, but with Metal influences, but far from Politics and traditional Punk, since the late 80´s I was very excited about the D.I.Y. ethics in Punk, I think this is more important be- cause the things what you do by your own in your everyday life, are more radical than any political posture. Since the beginning the lyrics of the band were focus in how the human being has been living in an instinctive way only to satiate their lowest instincts. Between 2000 and 2008, we played mostly with Punk/Hardcore bands and we recorded our first full-length release on 2004. We released 2000 copies on CD. A year before of this re- cording our singer Hussein quit the band and Cesar join us to stay until these days, but 3 years ago he moved to Berlin.
