1. Which city do you live in?
I live in Bandung, Indonesia.
2. What inspires you?
I focus on the world of illustration primarily on the design
of clothes and record covers - motivated by music because music gives me the spirit to work. Another motivation to work is friend nearby, and communities. Boredom - one collective community in a Bandung building space for our work. An in- ner happiness that makes me grow is that I want the world to see my work and for it to be well appreciated.
3. How long have you been drawing? Did you study art?
I have had the hobby of drawing since the age of three years old, and maybe I found it very enjoyable, and eventually de- cided to focus on the area of art, and finally went to school in one of the colleges majoring in fine arts.
4. What are some of your favorite bands that have commis- sioned your work?
All the bands that I worked with was a favorite band hahaha. But yes, of course there are special ones - Year of No Light is one of the bands - heavy epic shoegaze from Bordeaux France; Body Void - a sludge doom punk trio based in San Francisco, Torpor - sludge doom from London, UK, and the last one is Candlegoat - a funeral doom band of traditional Indonesia.
6. Does anything spiritual or religious or esoteric influence your work?
Influence on the work of my drawing may be very much affected by the start of the Spiritual in the religion of Islam. The expression of the experience of these “Esoteric” realms can literally be found almost everywhere here. In religious text, ancient culture, traditional and mythology. Many influences are ideas like the sun, the darkness, the sky, the moon, trees, mountains. And creation by god.
7. Tell us about your family’s history. Do your parents like your art? :-)
Hmmm my father died when I was three years old. I am the third child of four siblings. My mom really likes art and was very supportive of my artwork.
9. Do you play music too? Tell us about that?
No. I don’t have a band haha. I just love music.
10. Tell us about your favorite parts of the art/mu- sic scene and the favorite places you’ve visited?
My favorite artform that I really like is the work of engraving. Favorite place is the city of Yogyakarta, because in that scene, there are many great bands.

5. Tell us about the ‘scene’ or music and art cul- ture where you live? Do you know Tarang Padi from Yogya?
Bandung is one of the creative centers of art and culture, as well as music that is very progressive. There are very many cultures in the city of Band- ung, especially of art and traditional music. Such as angklung music, wayang golek and much more. Almost every month, a lot of collective communities spring up here.
Tarang Padi - Yes, of course I know them, they are a collective community of Yogyakarta, their work is very cool. Taring Padi as I know is a community activist culture, characteristic of them is woodcuts.
