FHN SCREENINGS
The Freeport Health Network will be checking blood pressure and conducting glucose and cholesterol screenings Wed., July 27 from 9:00am-11:00am at the Hanover office.
Fasting for 8 hours is necessary for the glucose screening. Walk-ins welcome.
FOOT CARE CLINIC
On Thurs., August 9 the mobile foot care clinic will be in Hanover. Please call 815-777- 1316 ext.248 to register. Medicare is accepted. Cost is $45 if you are not on Medicare. There is a limited number of appointments available.

EXERCISE CLASS
Join us Wednesday mornings, at 9:30 (summer hours, no class on July 27) for forty-five minutes of fun and exercise. No experience is necessary and all fitness levels are wel- come. The class, taught by Dr. Julie Smith will incorporate stretching, strengthening and aerobic skills. Dr. Smith has a bachelor’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in dance and is a doctor of chiropractic medicine and board-certified naturopath. The fee for the class is $5.00 and will be collected at the start of each session. Freeport Senior Resource Center.

COLORING FUN
Come to the Senior Resource Center for a relaxing social time and to color. This group will be meeting July 14th and 28th at 9:30am. Bring your color books, crayons, markers or color pencils if you have them. Supplies and refreshments are provided. Registration is preferred, but walk-ins welcome.
MEDICARE BASICS CLASS
If you are turning 65, have questions or need a refresher about Medicare, this class is for you. It is taught by Ralph Norman who is a Chartered Advisor for Senior Living. He also has 40 years of experience in insurance and financial services. He will present the basics of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, supplements and prescription drug plans. Bring your tough Medicare questions. Additional Appointments will be offered. Everyone is wel- come to attend. There will be 2 classes held on Tues., July 19 at 10:00am and 6:30pm at the Freeport office. Please call to register.
AARP SAFE DRIVING CLASS
The next AARP Safe Driving Classes will be held Tuesday, July 19 from 9:00am - 5:00pm and a 2-day class July 27 and 28 from 9:00 to noon. These courses will provide a review of driving skills and techniques, as well as strategies and tips to help you adjust to nor- mal age-related physical changes that may affect your driving ability. By taking these classes, you may receive a discount on your auto insurance. Cost is $15 if you are an AARP member and $20 if non-member. Bring a sack lunch for the all-day class. The class- es will be held at Schwarz Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd., Freeport. Call the Senior Resource Center to register at 815-235-9777 OR if you have questions call 815-232-3042.

BINGO ANYONE?
Come and join us for an afternoon of Bingo, Wednesday, July 20, 1:30pm to 2:30pm. Please bring a wrapped white elephant gift for prizes. Donations accepted for this activ- ity being held at the Freeport Senior Resource Center. Refreshments will be served.
STROLL-A-PALOOZA
The date of the annual Senior Resource Center fundraiser will be July 23 from 9:00am- 1:00pm. The 2016 Stroll-a-Palooza will be held at Oakley Courts on Kunkle Blvd in Freeport. Plan on strolling and having a great time! There will be vendors, a pet parade, block party food, strolling, and Mississippi Man Music. Pick up your pledge sheet at the SRC or on our website at www.seniorresourcecenter.net and join us for a family fun day.
GOLDEN MEALS GROCERY BINGO
Enjoy Bingo followed by lunch Tuesday, July 26 at 9:30am at the NICAA Golden Meals site in the Crum & Forster Building, 524 W. Stephenson, Lower Level. Enter at the rear of the building. Bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the food pantry and join in the fun. If you would like to stay for lunch, please call the Golden Meals site one day prior at 815-232-8896. Sponsored by Oakley Courts, the Senior Resource Center and NICAA Golden Meals Program.

SAVE THE DATE FOR FREE HEARING SCREENINGS
The Lions Club Mobil Van in conjunction with the Senior Resource Center is sponsoring a Free Hearing Screening on Tues., Aug 16, 12:00pm to 5:00pm at the Senior Resource Center parking lot, 206 E. Stephenson St. Children 10-17 are also welcome but a signed parental consent is required. The screening only takes a few minutes and is completely painless. If a hearing problem is detected, those individuals will be referred to a hearing professional for further testing and treatment. Appointments are not required.
