Lemonade
We had a huge lemon tree in Umlazi, although the lemons were not as pretty as the shop lemons. We were also fortunate to have access to abundant sugercane in Margate.
I generally used white sugar as a child, but as I grew up, I experimented with sugarcane juice. Well, you can keep your mojito when I get this drink on the go. It makes an awesome summer drink, from morning to sunset.
INSTRUCTIONS
Squeeze the juice of 5 lemons and pour into a jug. Add mint and sugarcane juice, and stir in water. Chill in fridge. If desired, serve with ice cubes.
Delicious and refreshing!
