With so much to see and do, I have listed only a few based on our own experiences.
Visit:
Beaches:.
• Swanage • Studland national trust beach, beautiful
• Sandbanks, it is lovely but watch the current, great for kite surfing and a children’s
play area with crazy golf too.
Walking:
• Lots... Swanage to Studland, Worth or Corfe and many more
For the kids:
• Pitch & Put, Tennis or Basketball shooting hoops - 2 mins from the house
• Play parks both close to the house and in town
• Skate park close to the house, bottom of Northbrook Road on Victoria Avenue
• Swimming at Ulwell Caravan Park, 5 mins in the car from the house
• Crabbing - nets are in the buckets at the back door, don’t forget your bacon bits
Buses & Trains:
• Studland, Sandbanks and Bournemouth - from outside the Crows Nest or Town • Corfe, Wareham and Poole - from Town
• Dorchester and Weymouth - Bus to Wareham station and then train
• Durlston Castle - long uphill walk, bus from station in town or drive in 5 mins • Corfe Castle - bus or drive in 15mins or take the Steam Train
• Arne Nature reserve - lovely walk and you can see us over in Poole
• Brownsea Island - via boat trip or take boat from Poole or visit Poole Quay
