Alarm:
• Only used out of season when house is empty, contact us if you wish to use
Bedroom fans:
These are remote control and can be set on a timer also. Control based in top rear of fan.
Windows:
To keep air flowing through the house whilst you are out or sleeping, the windows can be ‘ajar’ and still be locked so letting in fresh air.
Canopy blind: MIND YOUR HEAD
• Used to keep the sun out and off the television in the day. We advise putting this down
whilst you are out and putting back up when in.
• Switch to operate is located on the left of the patio doors behind the curtains
Towels:
All towels supplied are for use in the house only and not for beach use, please can you place all the used towels in the bath on your departure.
• Bath sheets and hand towels for adults • Bath and hand towels for children • Tea towels and table linens supplied in the kitchen drawers
Spare bed linens:
Should any accidents occur and you have the need to change any bedding, we supply a spare set for all beds. Stored in the divan drawers of the king size bed
• Singles and cot right hand set of drawers
• Double and king in left hand set of drawers
• Washing powder and conditioner supplied for any bed changes
Spillages:
Please just wipe over, all cleaning items are stored in the kitchen cupboard under the sink. Please ladies, no heals on the wooden floors.
Power-cuts:
They do happen so we have provided battery tea lights in all the rooms, spares in the hall drawers, we do not have real candles in the house for obvious reasons of fire.
• Re-set oven clock or will not work.
Water:
We are on a meter so please ensure no taps are left to drip. The hot taps get very hot, please be aware when running children’s baths. The plumbers cupboard is for our plumber only. Mains is located in the shower room left corner should you need to turn off.
Gas fire & central heating:
The fire guard is only supplied so little fingers do not play with the coals. See separate instruction manual for operating the fire. The heating in the colder months is set to auto and the thermostat is located in the hall, this can be adjusted to suit as can all the radiators.
Neighborhood:
This area of Swanage is very peaceful as you may experience whilst sitting in the garden in the evenings, you can hear the sea. Please ensure no loud music especially late at night, we get on very well with all our neighbors and hope to continue with these good relationships.
Smoking:
No smoking is permitted in the house however ashtrays have been provided at the rear entrance and in the back garden. Please ensure ashtrays are left clean on your departure.
