What truly sets Chobe National Park apart for
photographers is its dramatically changing environment.
During the green season, the park bursts into life with
lush foliage and vivid hues, offering a stark contrast to the
dry season’s arid landscapes. In the dry season, animals
congregate near water sources creating dramatic scenes
ripe for photographic exploration. Whether on a game
drive or drifting down the river, each perspective reveals
a new facet of the park. Elephants playing and swimming
across the river, predators stalking prey on the savannah,
or birds flocking in the marshes, all provide
endless possibilities for capturing nature’s
drama through the camera lens.
When I made the decision to move to Chobe to work
as a photographic guide at Pangolin Photo Safaris, I was
driven by an unwavering commitment to turn this passion
into my life’s work. Kasane, with its rich biodiversity,
offered the perfect backdrop for my creative endeavours.
My role involves not only enabling my guests to capture
breathtaking images of wildlife but also assisting and
mentoring them, to enhance their existing photographic
skills. My approach to wildlife photography is deeply
rooted in ethics and respect for the natural world. I believe
that the true power of wildlife photography lies in its
authenticity, representing events as they occur naturally in
the wild.
