CHOBE & SAVUTE
Facing page top: Numerous herds of African buffalo can be found chewing
the cud by day and moving out onto the plains in the late afternoon. To do
so entails making river crossings in tight formation.
Facing page bottom: Easily identifiable, Ground hornbills make the Chobe
home. Foraging parties will seek out small rodents, insects and snakes to
feed upon.
Left: An elephant silhouettes against a stormy sky at the advent of the
rainy season. The Chobe is a photographer’s paradise with an extraordinary
amount of opportunity to capture all sorts of mammals, birds and reptiles in
stunning landscapes.
Below: Chacma baboons can be seen foraging in the early morning and late
afternoon. Golden hour allows for some beautiful light scenarios and great
photography.
