All rooms are equipped with IDD telephones with voice-mail, individually-controlled air- conditioning, soundproof insulated windows, electronic safety deposit boxes, interactive satellite television with guest link, mini-bar and free newspapers – and there are three non-smoking floors.
Other hotel facilities range from wi-fi and same- day laundry services to a hair and beauty salon and massage service, heated pool, outdoor gym and health club, plus the only hotel casino in Harare – the Regency Casino has all the standard games and a salon privé for VIP guests.
As part of an ongoing refurbishment programme, the reception area was recently redone and upgrade of rooms will be completed in 2015.
Dining options include the Harvest Garden, an African themed restaurant with all-day dining; the Kombahari with Afro-Asian fusion cuisine; Teppan Yaki for Japanese fans and La Patisserie coffee lounge, while bars range from the Sahwira pool bar to the Stars nightclub, Gazebo cocktail bar and the Aviator’s Arms, a traditional English sports pub.
Meetings & Events
Both the hotel and the conference centre offer large and small venues from intimate boardrooms to a gigantic auditorium seating 4,500, with royal purple and gold interiors lending a touch of style to any event, while spacious gardens can be used for outdoor exhibitions.
For 2015, conferences facilities will be upgraded with new seating, PA system and translation booths as well as fast broadband wi-fi.
The multi-functional auditorium can be partitioned into four individual sound-proofed rooms, and there are 12 additional meeting rooms of various sizes. Other facilities include simultaneous translation facilities for up to 11 languages; a fully- equipped Press Centre with press galleries in the main auditorium; VIP offices; business centre plus exhibition space of 2,000 sq metres.
