Celebrating its 20th anniversary last December with the completion of a US$1m upgrade of rooms, the Victoria
Falls Safari Lodge continues to offer one of the best boutique options in the country combining luxury accommodation and extensive f&b options in a spectacular location just four kilometres from Victoria Falls.
Set high on a natural plateau bordering the Zambezi National Park, the resort boasts on-site waterhole, spectacular sunsets, event facilities and 72 bedrooms with private decks, digital safes, IDD phones, remote control air-conditioning, hairdryers, fans, mosquito nets, customised toiletries including insect repellent, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, and extra length beds – now enhanced with walk-in rainfall showers, glass doors and contemporary African art.
Additionally, King Suites feature duplex accommodation, with a spacious lounge leading onto a private balcony, an open staircase to the bedroom, en-suite raised bathroom with a large luxury bath and separate shower cubicle with massage jets.
Other facilities include a spa, an Internet Café with digital photo downloading, CD printing and photo printing facilities, wi-fi in all rooms and public areas, TV lounge with satellite link, private
showers and changing rooms for early-arrival and late check-out guests, guest library, games room and curio shop and telescope views over the onsite waterhole and surrounds from the activities deck.
Event venues include The Boma – Place of Eating, offering the tastes and traditions of Africa including Zimbabwean specialty dishes, barbecue buffet and desserts, and interactive drumming show (capacity up to 300 pax and can be reserved exclusively for groups with a minimum of 230); the Makuwa-Kuwa a la carte restaurant overlooking the waterhole (catering for up to 100 pax), and the all-day Buffalo Bar, ideal for pre- and post-dinner drinks with a game-viewing platform and ‘hide sits’ where a professional guide provides insight on wildlife views.

Conference facilities include two dedicated rooms, two breakaway rooms and an open-air amphitheatre.
For structured meetings, the Indaba Conference Room is located next to the amphitheatre in a
thatched A-frame building with French doors that open up on to a small balcony overlooking the African bush. For added privacy, it has its own bar and cloakroom facilities. This room can accommodate up to 100 or 70 seated for dinner. In addition, there is a small boardroom that can cater for up to 20.
Al fresco events for up to 200 can also take place at the amphitheatre which has an auditorium with level stage area and terraced slopes on one side – the site has a service kitchen and bar, private cloakrooms and light.
In addition, the hotel has two breakout rooms with capacity for 15 pax each – the Library and the Mezzanine Lounge.
