“The outcome of this project aims to position Fairground Holdings as
the leader in the MICE industry within Botswana, and a worthy host for
international conferences,” he said.
As part of the plan, 30 hectares of unused land will be developed
within a mixed-use project that will include a three-/four-star hotel, retail
and residential units, office and financial districts, outdoor activity space,
a theme park and go-karting facility.
Among the events organised and managed by FGH are the International
Food Festival, Good Safety & Quality Management Conference & Expo,
Botswana Consumer Fair and Hospitality & Tourism Expo.
Other hosted events range from the recent 50th celebrations of the
De Beers Global Group Conference and Shining Light Awards to the
Human Resources Development Committee Services, Youth Business
Expo, Gender Affairs Expo, Poverty Eradications Expo, Mining Expo
and Global Expo.
