The D-Stiffener™ increases the
buckling capacity of the trailing edge
midsection of the blade by increasing
the stiffness of the blade panels and
the trailing edge assembly of the
panels. Connecting the two trailing
edge panels, hereby eliminates cracks
developing in the TE midsection of the
blade.

Buckling on wind turbine blades
occurs due to overloading of blades.
Overload can have a variety of sources
such as edgewise vibrations causing
resonance on blades. When buckling
occurs, bending of trailing edge panels
will generate cracks. Peeling in the
adhesive bondlines directly cause
cracks which may lead to larger failures
in your blades.
