Dear Parents,
The purpose of this monthly newsletter is to keep you informed about what your child has
been learning in English classes. Our main aim is to create awareness of the English language,
develop a positive approach to learning.
There’s a process in which children learn their native language. Infants are mainly silent, lis-
tening to the surrounding noises and words being spoken mainly communicating through ges-
tures. This same kind of process happens when learning a second language as well. When the
English lessons first commence, children are silent, taking in the new words and learning the ges-
tures needed to communicate. Try not to push your child to speak before they are naturally
ready. They must first build the basic tools needed to speak and the confidence needed to go
with it. Every child is different and moves at his/her own pace.
As the courses continue, this month we have focused on the activities related to classroom
objects, animals, tree homes and camping.
We have learned several songs like ‘Walking through the jungle’, ‘The letter A’ and ‘The letter
B’.
We will be providing you weekly newsletters to inform you about what we have learned. If
