Love & Berry played a major role in my child- hood. I collected 4 big albums filled with these cards, and used to go play the game nearly every- day. When I found this in a pile of my old belong- ings, I was genuinely happy inside and started remembering the joy with L&B back then.
Of course I had to include this in the project, and I decided to fill most of the left side of the showcase with these cards. As can be noticeably seen, L&B playing cards are one of the elements that stand out way more than the others. The vibrant colors and cheerful illustrations from the cards have enhanced my artwork to give a more vibe of reminiscing the old times.
Lastly, I also hanged them up with thumb- tacks so that it truly gives an ‘exhibition vibe’.
mini boxes from my eraser collection
This corner is filled with small and cute toys that I collected since I was a little girl. From my shaped eraser collection, vending machine toys I bought when travelling, and also my old doll. All of these items hold a special place in my heart. It immediate- ly unlocked a memory I had years ago.
For the doll, erasers, and My Little Pony area I used a part from a cardboard that has a hole in the middle - and took advantage of the opening for My Little Pony characters peeking out from the gap. I also painted the cardboard and made it act as a table for the mini boxes. There’s also an opening on the top area, so to fill the empty space I placed my old doll.
Subsequently, on the left side I arranged my toys from the vending machine, and the white box is actually a clear plastic box painted with white paint and tied with leftover craft string that I found.
