LANYON HOMES
Lanyon Homes is a relatively new residential building brand, launched by the Kilmona group in 2017, to market and sell their residential homes. The plan is to grow Lanyon Homes over the next five years into one of the largest providers in Northern Ireland of quality homes for the sales and rental market.
The new Lanyon Homes brand will build on the well-known experience of The Kilmona Group as a quality house builder in Northern Ireland and in particular within the Greater Belfast area with an excess of 800 residential units constructed to date. There are approximately 700 residential units currently either with planning permission and ready to commence construction or are under construction within the Group. The Northern Ireland Housing Market has seen steady growth within the last 12 months -the average house price currently stands at £195,000 which shows an annual increase of 5.8% in relation to the same period in 2019/2020.
The general view is mortgage rates remain low and the majority of people within Northern Ireland wish to own their own home. There is an historic supply issue of quality new homes in Northern Ireland with a lack of properties to meet the demand which is only expected to grow.
The Northern Ireland Build to Rent Sector is starting to evolve and catch the attention of institutional investors with experience in this sector. We have several sites in the Kilmona portfolio which we intend to explore adapting to suit the build to rent market.
