Shaped like an amphitheater and nestled in the South of France between Spain, the Mediterranean Sea, the Pyrenees &
the Corbières Mountains, Roussillon is known for its diversity of wines & terroirs. The region’s unique geology and
micro-climates allows each of the 23 authorized grape varieties to reach its fullest expression in these soils. Bringing
together a small community of 2,200 (young) wine-makers families, 25 cooperative cellars & 345 private ones, the
sunniest region of France produced 850 622 HL in 2015.
남프랑스에 위치한 루시옹 지역은 스페인, 피레네산맥과 코르비에르(Corbieres) 산맥, 지중해 사이에 원형 극장의 모양으로 아늑하게
자리 잡고 있다. 이 지역은 와인과 테루아르가 다양한 것으로 유명한데, 지역 특유의 독특한 토양과 미기후로 인해 생산되는 23개의 포
도 품종은 고유의 테루아르의 특성을 완벽하게 드러낸다. 루시옹은 프랑스에서 가장 일조량이 많은 지역으로 2,200여 개의 가족 경영
와인양조자, 25개의 조합 카브, 345개의 개인 카브들로 구성되어 있으며, 2015년에 이르러서는 85만622 헥토리터의 와인을 생산하였
다. 소규모의 테루아르가 모자이크를 이루고 있는 루시옹 지역은 비 발포성 드라이와인과 뱅 두 나튀렐(Vin Doux Naturel 강화 감미 와
인)을 아우르는 다채로운 색깔과 다양한 종류의 와인(14 AOP & 3 IGP) 을 생산하는 것이 특징이다.
