Rowan Tree Hostel, located in the heart of Ennis offers
quality budget accommodation that appeals to a wide range
of people including; international backpackers, groups,
families and the younger business person.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly and guests can choose
from a variety of rooms including double, twin, triple, family
rooms and dorms - many with ensuite bathrooms.
The facilities are of a very high standard and include a fully
equipped self-catering kitchen, recreational lounge, television room and free WIFI. All
rooms are spacious and comfortable with bed linen supplied. A licensed Cafe Bar on the
premises provides a relaxed setting for socialising and meeting guests and locals alike.
Ennis is a vibrant town rich in Irish culture and tradition. It boasts a good selection of
pubs, cafes and restaurants and is home to some of the finest traditional Irish musicians
in the country. It is the ideal base to explore Co. Clare, The Burren and the Cliffs of
Moher. Ennis is easily accessible by bus, train and air and is just 20 minutes from
Shannon Airport.

Rowan Tree Café Bar is situated within a fully restored
Georgian building with loads of character overlooking the
River Fergus. It is one of the oldest buildings in Ennis and is
of historical significance. Built around 1740 it was the County
Club for the lords and gentry of the land and the Bull Hall was
used for lavish balls and occasions.
The menu is Mediterranean inspired with a mouth-watering
selection of tapas, salads, pizzas, pastas and grilled meats
along with an interesting selection of beers and wines – many
available by the glass. And the best illy coffee in town.
The atmosphere is informal and relaxed providing both locals and visitors to Ennis a great
place to enjoy good quality food throughout the day.
Rowan Tree Café Bar is open seven days a week from 10.30am to 11pm. A private dining
room caters for up to 30 and during the warmer months guests can dine “Al Fresco” on the
outdoor terrace. The main entrance is from Harmony Bridge at the Abbey Street car park.
