North of the island is known especially for its universities. Being a
student at the Cyprus West University, which is a fully equipped
university, means being a part of the island's transportation,
accommodation, business, economy, politics, leisure and cultural center.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus offers great opportunities and
advantages for foreign students to come to the country. Cyprus, a tourist
island, especially Famagusta and Kyrenia, is an attraction for higher
education students. One-third of the island population is a student.
