Report:
It is always a beautiful walk from Berowra
beside the water all morning up to Bobbin
Head and then after lunch along the
Gibberagong Track to Wahroonga. But it
turned out to be an even beer outing
because of the spectacular weather and a
surprising showingof wildlife- avery friendly
wallaby along the Waratah track, two snakes
(one small one that the leader stepped over
without seeing) and ten goannas sunning
themselves on the track.
The pace was slowed by a large number of fallen trees
across the track before Appletree Bay, which required some
careful negoaon. The many creek crossingswere slippery
aer rain but were navigated with some excitement but no
mishaps.
Crossing the footbridge at Bobbin Head was a highlight
because two large goannas just beat us to the start and
proceeded to cross at a leisurely pace with twelve walkers
