Under 10 Red
The Under 10 Red team demonstrated significant development of their fundamental skills this season. It was pleasing to watch them honing their techniques each week and growing in their understanding of the game to the point where they now possess a strong foundation to build on in the years ahead. Although the results often did not go their way, the sense of team strengthened each time the team got together to train or play as did their love of cricket.
The support of the parents cannot be overlooked in this team. Without exception, everyone contributed through their willingness to score, assist at training sessions, provide picnic spreads and warm up the boys on game day. We are blessed to have built a strong little community amongst the families in the Under 10 Red team and without the vital contributions of all involved in the team the boys would not have had such an enjoyable year.
Along with the hard hitting of Jack, Kavindu, and Charley, the sharp bowling of Jake and Bayden, the catching and fielding of Liam and Rohan and the improvement of Nikil, Rayan and Elijah, the highlight for the parents was to see the joy of the boys competing together each week. No matter the score, they always seemed to leave with a smile looking forward to playing together again. We look forward to getting back together for the season ahead, rekindling friendships and building on the great progress each of the boys has gained.

Under 10 Green
U/10 Green stepped into this year with most of their players coming back for the third successive season. We must be doing something right for them to keep coming back and to love playing the game together. Liam was one of the originals who started with us in U/8. We also welcomed new players Hamish and Chinmaya into our team.
The U/10 Greens kicked off their season playing against Mt Colah. Our batters played against one of the best leg spin bowling they would ever face and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Also we all agreed the game was played in the best of the spirits. What a great way for the players to start!
We focussed on learning to play as a team and cherish each others’ successes. Every single player put in hard work during practice and it showed at the last few games of the season. Tanush was by far our fastest and fiercest bowler while Hamish was the most improved. Liam with his great round arm action was a treat to watch. Majitha showed great temperament by making the bowlers earn his wicket. Ahan shaped up to be a dashing opener and his twin brother Aryn took a liking to the pull shots against the bouncing cricket ball. Samih was at his usual best bowling immaculate line and length. Marley was a revelation opening the bowling for us. Keerthan gave it all bowling his famous in dippers. We also had by far the best of direct hits this season and all credit goes to the players who never gave up until the very end. Raja was our scorer-de- mission and Faisal the manager, machine and statsman! The support of all parents were exemplary and we finished off our season in style with a parents vs kids match over some fine food at the park.
We had 6 of our players try out for rep with 3 of them making into U/10 rep. Thanks to Lyndal for playing the great co-ordinator as always and look forward to the next season already!
Chinmaya was the core team player to shine through the year.
