Tadhg Ashby: one of the 3 new comers to the team Tadhg is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm. This was his first season of cricket and his lack of “experience” was evident. His remarkable desire to perform, an open attitude to listen and learn and the hard work he puts in has helped him become a genuine leggie now. He has delivered with key wickets for the team this season and has 8 wickets in his very first year of cricket. His partnership with Rowan with the bat against Caste Hill was crucial in us winning the premiership.
Varun Ravindran: Another veteran in the team, Varun is the Captain and the baby of the team. A consistent performer for the team, he has had another great year with bat and ball. While he helped the team get to the finals mainly with his bat, he reserved his best with the ball in both the finals. His bowling spell against Normo in the semis and following it up with the bat to play a mature innings and guide his team to victory are the stand out performances for him for the season.
Will Coffey: School commitments kept Will to just one game for the team where he delivered with both bat and ball. The team missed his talent and his contributions this season. More importantly they missed his cheekiness and his presence in the field.
It is rather unfortunate that Michael Easton did not join the team earlier. He joined us for the last few matches in 2018 and could not qualify for playing in the finals. An attacking bat, Michael had impressed all with his pace bowling.
