also was managing a back injury that restricted his bowling. Thankfully, this injury didn’t restrict his batting though and he posted some fantastic figures for the season. Overall, he scored 403 runs @ 57.57av, with
a high score of 101 against Kenthurst, 83 against gold and two other half centuries. He was the highest scoring batsman of the HKHDCA Association home and away season smashing 65 fours and 5 sixes. Jonno was the recipient of the team batting award this season and is favourite to take out the HKHDCA Association highest batting average for u16 in 2018 - great job Jonno and well done.
Yash Patel
Yash had a disjointed club season, only playing 5 games due to his commitments to the Oakhill first XI team. Yash made 80 runs with a 26.67 average and a high score of 36. As usual, Yash was a favourite with the boys and when he was able to play participated fully. Yash also did well behind the stumps. Well done, Yash.
James Boulous
JB bowled consistently all season & again worked really hard for his wickets. He took 4 wickets for the season, three of them in one cracker game in round 3 where JB took 3/7 off 5 overs including 2 maidens. He is a team favourite with the boys and always supports all the boys in the team. Great work, JB.
Vatsal Garg
Vatsal was one of our newbies this season but had some injury issues that meant he only played 4 games. When Vatsal was able to attend he played and fielded well for the team – well done, Vatsal.
Rahul Das
Rahul is a second year player who has come along in leaps and bounds. He played all 10 rounds this season and didn’t miss a training session. His batting is going well, but his bowling went very well taking 5 wickets with a 23.4 average. His best was 3/26 against Kenthurst after a full 10 overs. Well done, Rahul.
Akith De Silva
Akith was another of our newbies for this year. He played all 10 games and also didn’t miss a single training session. Akith uses his height really well for bowling and took 4 wickets over the season with an average of 16.8. Well done, Akith.
Gishan Perera
Another newbie this season who came to us from the Gold team. Gishan is a solid player who batted and bowled well this season. Gishan took 6 wickets @ 33.3av. His best bowling was 2/15 against Castle Hill RSL. Gishan’s batting is technically very good, although he didn’t shine this year – more centre wicket time needed! Congratulations, Gishan.
Jaskaran Singh
Jaskaran was another new player who was a welcome breath of fresh air. He was very popular with the team keeping everybody on their toes with his wit and repartee! Jaskaran shone this season with his spin bowling, taking 5 wickets @ 34.2av with a best bowling of 2/6 against Gold. Well done Jaskaran, great work.
Louis Madison-Hanlon
Louie had a pretty special 2018 season. He remains one of our best all rounders and provided us with some great bowling and batting throughout the season. Louie took 12 wickets for the season with an average of 10.8. His best bowling was 5/18 against Gold in round 9. Louie took out the team bowling award. Louie’s batting was also commendable, with some great knocks including 58 against Gold also in round 9 for a total season tally of 96 runs @ 19.2av. Congrats Louie and well done!
