“The boys were fantastic, they were very keen and presented a very well run clinic. Our students had a great time and learnt some new skills. We are always happy to host WPHCCC as we have many students who are involved in the club. Thanks”

“Thank you for offering your services to our school. The children absolutely loved it and the ones who missed out in the afternoon due to the bad weather were so disappointed! The teachers were very impressed with the coaches, as well as the range of skills and activities which were taught to the children. So thank you once again and we hope we can do it again next year!”

Club Survey
This year we ran our first whole Club survey and the results will be discussed by the Club Executive and the results then communicated to our members. Key outcomes were:
We were thrilled with the high response rate of 284 responses:
• Junior Girls – 18 responses • Academy – 29
• In2Cricket (Kanga) – 41
• Seniors – 84
• Junior Boys – 113
This has given us a very good platform to build on what we do well and what needs to be improved on next season and beyond. At the time of writing and before club Executive review the key takeouts are that we do a lot well.
Our culture is good, coaching is highly regarded and overall communication is also considered good. Where we need to improve is on specific aspects of communication – Team selections and draw changes. Our ‘Participation over Results’ policy also needs more communication and stricter adherence with 26% not aware of its existence. More information will follow on this before the start of the next season.
Representative achievements
Peden Shield Reps – U15 Girls
Our Girls represent the Association, competing in the Margaret Peden Shield NSWDCA Rep competition.
We had 8 of our Girls in the 14 player squad and this is a record level representation for our Club in a single Rep Team. Congratulations to our Rep players:
Ellen Hall, Amy Harkin, Danielle Chivers, Jess Meikle, Ragini Sen, Amy Hale, Lauren Kua, Esha Tiwana Naden Cooray
A special mention to the achievement of Naden Cooray (U12 Red & Association Reps). Naden plays in the Association U11 Creak Shield that competes in the NSW DCA Representative Competition.
Naden finished the Representative season with 260 runs @ 65.0 with a top score of 93*. This is the highest number of runs by any player in the Creak Shield and the highest run scorer by any player from our Association.
