Our Cockie
WarBëhr – Painted mural, 2019
This local sulphur-crested cockatoo holding a piece of wattle was inspired by the classic dove holding an olive branch. It’s an unashamedly Aussie take on a symbol of hope.
WarBëhr called the mural Our Cockie after learning the Sydney Adventist Hospital volunteers had given it this nickname.
