SAH Cadetship Program
Through the generosity of donors, San Foundation will sponsor up to ten final year Avondale undergraduate students to be part of an exciting new pilot program. This is a wonderful opportunity for Cadets to join the San family while working the 288 hours as part of the program.
Each cadet will gain on-hand experience on a ward with a dedicated mentor. In addition, opportunities for part-time employment, 6 paid education days, an option to complete their final placements within AHCL, and a guaranteed interview for AHCL New Graduate Program.

pleased to offer a range of Nursing Education Scholarships
San Foundation celebrated the incoming 2023 John Letham Nursing Scholarship recipients earlier this year.
These scholarships are only made possible through a very generous gift from one of the Hospital’s former doctors who had a 30-year association with the San as an obstetrician.
These scholarships are designed to support high performing
nurses in key discipline areas to undertake post-graduate study. The 2023 intake will include the nursing areas of “acute care” and “midwifery”.

San Foundation Research Grant 2023
San Foundation is offering funding of up to $20,000 for a research project that will showcase AHCL research leading to improvements in patient experiences, patient outcomes and / or health systems.
Projects will use a research framework, rather than
other approaches such
as a quality improvement activity. Applications are open to AHCL employees and accredited clinicians with a research idea that meets the criteria. A selection panel will review applications via a standardised application form and determine payment of
up to $20,000, according to the budget provided in the submission.
