THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR YOUR PET

Do you know where to go if you’re looking for a place to
live or vacation that’s dog friendly?
You don’t have to go far.
In fact, Alexandria, VA is in Expedia’s 2019 top 10 plac-
es for dogs and their owners to live in the U.S. That’s
not that surprising though, given there’s an estimated
40,000 dogs compared to 160,000 humans living in Al-
exandria according to Visit Alexandria. “You won’t get
one block before oh-ing and ah-ing at a dog or two” Ex-
pedia writes as they highlight the many dog parks, ca-

WAL’s Pet Committee actively engages the community
with its summer Yappy Happy Hour socials and events
for all pet owners. We’re not too far from other dog
parks in the city, so you can visit one of these places if WHAT’S YOUR PET
your precious pooch needs a break while out and about.
So the next time you’re thinking about a place to go
that’ll welcome your dog and humans too, don’t forget
the benefits of living in one of the most dog-friendliest
cities in the U.S. You can come to the Upper Terrace for
the 2019 Yappy Happy Hour kick-off on May 3 at 7 p.m.
