certain aspects of our lives. However, at the core of our community, human interaction at the personal level is unavoidable. To develop and improve our community, it is important that we build on our moral character. Improving our moral character is dependent on the leadership as they have a profound impact on our communities. Of the greatest leaders in our history is none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) himself. His impact on society had changed the entire face of the Arabian Peninsula. Through these actions our communities will not only grow, but remain safe from the vices of this world.
Quick Facts about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
• He was born 53 years prior to Hijrah (migration to Madina) in the Year of Elephants ‘Āmul Fīl, 570 AD.
• Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was born an orphan. His father Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abdul-Muttalib died before his birth, and his mother Hazrat Āminah bint Wahb died when he was about 6 years old. He was taken care by his uncle Abu Talib ibn Abdul-Muttalib.
• He  rst received the revelation from God when he was 40 years old, on the mount of Hirā, through Angel Jibrīl (Gabriel).
• He used to mend his clothes, repair his shoes and sweep the  oor as well as do the household shopping during his married life.
• He believes in the same God as the Jesus, Moses, Abraham (pbut) and all the other prophets of God.
• He was the descendant of Prophet Ismail (Ishmael) the son of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).
• He was mentioned in the Bible as the coming prophet: Deut18. “I will raise up a prophet like you from among the brethren and will put my words
in his mouth and he will tell them everything I command him.”
