• Graphic Design II (HS) - **May be offered in 2019-2020** In the Advanced Graphic Design
course, students will further develop skills in working with text and image to create solutions to
design problems. Students will increase design literacy through exposure to contemporary
design, historical design, and their own original peer-led designs. Students will improve and
increase their proficiency in all aspects of the design process, including the use of formal design
principles, type as image, creative brainstorming, conceptualizing, critical thinking, collaboration,
and presentation. Required Textbook: The Elements of Graphic Design by Alex W. White
Required equipment/supplies: Laptop/computer to bring to this course Instructor: Pending
Recommended Donation of $15 per weekly session
• Special Education Help (Adult) - This will be a drop-in class for parents with children who
have special needs. We will discuss individualized strategies, remediation, and
accommodations that you can use daily with your child to help you confidently homeschool. We
will learn how to apply ideas and adjust what we are doing to help you and your child succeed.

• Theatre Workshop/Improv (all ages, for those with one or more years of drama or
performing experience) -This one-semester long course is designed to broaden the scope of
theatre students and polish their performance quality. Focused on improvisation work, students
will learn CORE (character, objective, relationship, environment) by playing
weekly improv games and working on comedy skits. Minimal homework will be assigned as this
class is designed in a workshop fashion, meaning everything happens as a group one-class. Be
prepared to be on your feet and to laugh a lot. Instructor: Abigail Ford Recommended Donation
of $12 per weekly session.
