               • Advanced Math Lab- (High School) This class is geared towards making secondary grade student successful in
math and science classes. We do a lot of interactive work and focus on algebra and geometry along with

graphing and using a graphing calculator. This class is also a primary support for the math assignments in College
Bound Chemistry. Students will need a graphing calculator for the second semester. No required text Teacher:

sixth, seventh, eighth, math, middle school, 6th, 7th, 8th
               • Pre-Algebra- Pre-Algebra eases the transition from arithmetic to algebra. Algebraic expressions and linear

equations are applied throughout a thorough review of operations on integers, fractions, decimals, percentages,
and radicals. Students explore relations and functions using equations, tables, and graphs. Chapters on statistics
and geometry extend foundational concepts in preparation for high school courses. Problem solving and real-life
uses of math are featured in each chapter. Required Text: Teaching Textbooks Pre Algebra 2.0 edition Teacher:

eighth, ninth, tenth, high school, 8th, 9th, 10th
               • Algebra I- This course is designed to emphasize the study of multiple representations of linear and non- linear
functions. It includes mathematical concepts for working with rational numbers, various expressions, analyzing
and solving linear equations & inequalities, data analysis, probability, statistics, and polynomials. Students will

use hands-on materials and calculators when needed in solving problems where the algebra concepts are
applied. Prerequisite: successful completion of PreAlgebra. Required Text: Teaching Textbooks Algebra I 2.0

               • Geometry - This course is designed to emphasize the study of the properties and applications of common

geometric figures in two and three dimensions. It includes the study of transformations and right triangle
trigonometry. Inductive and deductive thinking skills are used in problem solving situations, and applications to
the real world are stressed. It also emphasizes writing proofs to solve (prove) properties of geometric figures.

               • Algebra 2- This course is designed to build on algebraic and geometric concepts. It develops advanced algebra
skills such as systems of equations, advanced polynomials, imaginary and complex numbers, quadratics, and

concepts and includes the study of trigonometric functions. It also introduces matrices and their properties. The
content of this course are important for students’ success on both the !CT and college mathematics entrance

exams. Prerequisite: successful completion of Algebra I. Required Text: Teaching Textbooks Algebra II 2.0 edition
