Besides being the first woman lawyer in Arizona, practicing law in Tombstone, Tucson,
and Globe, Sarah Herring Sorin impressed the country by being the first woman to
argue her case by herself (without a man) in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. Even
better, she won the case.
