PROVENANCE…

Renowned architect, Benjamin Marshall completed the building in 1913.

“This was the most extravagantly conceived and executed of Chicago’s pre-World War 1 apartment
buildings and remains, even in its divided internal state today, a remarkable structure. Of stone and
terra-cotta in an elaborately worked and carefully referenced version of French classicism, its 12 stories
face north onto Lincoln Park. Three major public rooms with orangerie on one side and open bay on
the other, stretched more than 100 feet across. The French-labeled floor plans were further evidence of
Marshall’s sense of grandeur. The dimensions of each of the 10 full-floor apartments exceeded some
8,000 square feet.

“In 1920, The Economist commented that 1550 North State Parkway ‘probably has the most
distinguished list of tenants of any apartment house in the city.’”

1550 North State Parkway continues to be Chicago’s most desirable and handsome vintage

packages to be dropped off and picked up. The 24-hour doorman greets you and will announce your
guests. When returning from a trip or shopping, the doorman will gladly take your luggage and
packages and have them sent to your front door. The discreet, service oriented door personnel are
simply unsurpassed.

The Lobby is truly the most beautiful Lobby in the city. With its inviting fireplace, fresh floral
arrangement and fine detail, it is perfect prelude to the residence.

Ascend the gracious passenger elevator to Residence 803, which encompasses the entire south and east
corner of the floor. You share this floor with only three other residences.
