Over the last three years my wife and I have worked with Janet Owen of Sudler Sotheby’s International
Realty to sell our condominium when we left Chicago, and to purchase a new condominium when we re-
turned last year. Janet is a model of a concerned, professional and friendly realtor in a field where these
traits are not always in evidence. When we sold our house, Janet had by far the best sense of the market
and the best advice on selling price presentation, so good that the house sold within a month at the top of
her predicted range, before the brochures had been printed.

When we returned to Chicago last year, Janet was the automatic choice to help us find a new place. She
helped us define out new requirements, worked as our “buyers” agent in evaluating properties, pointing
out good and bad points based on changing opinion of what we needed. When we selected a new con-
struction condo, she was a great help in working through issues with the development company. After the
sale, when others sometimes disappear, she continued to work with us to ensure that we would be happy in
our new home, recommending inspectors, craftsmen and specialists to add the finishing touches.

If we were buying or selling a home in the Chicago area, Janet would be our only choice as a real estate
agent.
