Designed by renowned Lucien Lagrange, premier architect of high end luxury residential buildings,
and completed in 2003, 65 East Goethe reflects and enhances the elgance, character and history of its
storied neighborhood. The eight-story limestone structure exudes a classically Parisian character with
its distinctive zinc clad mansard roof punctuated by period windows, French doors and Juliette
balconies of hand forged iron. Solid mahogany framed French windows overlook the treetops of
charming Goudy Park and lovely city skyline views. At the building’s crown, a Rooftop Private
Garden offers a landscape of flowers, trees, seating areas, gazebos, trellises and water features, laced by
ribbons of pathways… an homage to Chicago’s city motto... “Urbs in Horto”, city in a garden…

superior quality…. the goals of the architect were realized and are now enjoyed by the residents.

key lifestyle within an elegant, intimate, secure, service oriented building to which they can retreat,
relax and entertain family and friends while maintaining their privacy.

THE VISION…

The Owners knew exactly what they wanted when they purchased 4 West.

They began a collaboration with premier interior designer, Kelly Rosen, principal of Kelly Rosen
Design, and with Steve Rugo of Rugo/Raff Ltd. architectural firm to create a residence that truly
reflected their lifestyle… with wide open light filled spaces, thoughtfully designed interiors,
impeccable attention to detail and lots of room for living and entertaining, both casually and formally.

They embarked upon a three year total renovation of the existing property and sparing absolutely no
expense, the result is a sophisticated, but completely livable home where the place they live,
completely reflects the life they live…

THE LOBBY…

The doorman greets you and your guests and is ready to assist with luggage or packages. There is an
Outer and Inner Lobby for added security.

The intimate and well appointed Lobby leads to the passenger elevator. Guests will be announced and
keyed up to your floor. 4 West encompasses the entire end of the floor, which is shared by just two
other residences for an added feeling of privacy. Kelly Rosen Design also designed the hallway and it
is beautiful and understated. All will remain with the exception of the art which belongs to the
Owners.
