Tarsal Tunnel Release

Compression neuropathy of the tibial nerve as it passes
through the tarsal tunnel

• Pain
• Burning sensation
• Tingling and numbness in leg

When non-surgical options fail surgical treatment maybe
recommended to decompress the nerve

The Flexor Retinaculum – The thick ligament creating the
tarsal tunnel is release surgically to decompress the tibial
nerve
