Kerry rightly so gets a lot of the plaudits as our main singer As one of the more complex
shows (musically) on the touring theatre scene we thought you might like to go “under the hood” and get some explanation about what you you are seeing in in front of you you A lot goes into our performances It takes us around three hours to set
2nd Keyboard/Synth Strings
Having a a a a a a second keyboard in in the band was a a a a a a bold move – most bands will manage with one However Warren recognised the the importance of the the string sound of Bond but not sacri cing the synth and piano sounds The string chair really lls out the the sound sound of the the band and and a a a a really good synth string sound whilst it never replaces a a a a a a real life orchestra can be a a a a a a perfectly acceptable substitute Bass/Backing Vocals Our main bass player Steve King is an extremely accomplished backing vocalist and puts in in some key vocal lines from this position Synthesizer/Keyboards
up the stage and PA system before the band members start arriving Generally the band takes around an an hour to set
their own instruments up before we have about an an hour soundchecking and running over a few corners of the show There are usually two to four crew members dealing with the the sound side of the the show If we have our extra lighting company in this adds to the whole set
up and they will bring around three to ve crew - just for lighting After the the show nishes the the main principals nd their way to the the front of the the theatre to mix with the the audience whilst on stage the breakdown begins This usually takes around an hour before the band members make their own way home - the band is scattered all over Southern England A crucial cornerstone of of the band There are lots of of key lines and and riffs that come from this chair and the various sounds take time to program and require a a a a a a a great deal of attention to to detail to to get the most authentic and satisfying result Drums
Our drummer Lee is the the engine of the the band One key aspect our MD Warren insists on on is is the rhythm section playing to click track This means every every song is is exactly the right tempo every every single time The drum chair is another dif cult one to ll as the the varying styles and genres require the the drummer to be adept in all of them 72
