French Flash Fiction Competition
Our annual French flash fiction competition is now open for entries. Pupils are invited to submit a short story in French of no more than 100 words, on a topic of their choosing. There are two categories of entry: one for students in Years 7-11 and another for those in Years 12-13.
Entries will be judged on imagination and narrative flair, as well as linguistic ability. Your use of French will be considered in the context of your age and year group: in other words, we will not expect younger pupils to compete against older pupils linguistically. The judges will award a top prize of £100 in each category as well as prizes of £25 to runners up. If you have any ques- tions, please email us at schools.liaison@mod- langs.ox.ac.uk. The deadline for submissions is noon on Wednesday, 31 March 2021. Submit your entry online here. Please read the submission instructions carefully as you may need to click a link in a verification email if this is the first time you are entering one of our competitions.
