MOVADO.COM - I grew up around the balloons. My dad has been a pilot for over

many years where my dad wasn’t actively flying. When my dad
bought his current balloon in 2012, I started crewing for him
regularly and attending events with him, and once I had the
time to complete my licence I went for it.

How does your dad inspire you with your passion?
Right now, we’ve taken different paths in the sport. My dad
is involved with international competition ballooning on the
organizational side—he travels around the world to attend
competitions and is involved in scoring and judging tasks. We
don’t get to fly together much because he lives in B.C., but we
share the same passion for the sport and the drive to expand it.
