Sciences
Science 14 / 24
Science 14 and 24 are designed for those students who want to meet their science credit requirements
without having to take biology, chemistry or physics. It is a basic course, making sure that students have
the fundamental science skills to relate issues and our world; this alignment does not lead to
college/university admission.
Sciences 10 / 20 / 30
Sciences 10, 20 and 30 are academic courses designed for students who plan to eventually continue on
to post-secondary education (trades, college, and university); however the curriculum is less intensive
than each of the core science diploma courses.
Chemistry 20 / 30
Chemistry 20 and 30 is an academic aligned program that is designed to give the students an overview of
many topics in chemistry, as well as develop scientific thinking and laboratory skills.
Physics 20 / 30
Physics 20 and 30 are academics aligned programs for
students with keen aspects for the physical world and pre-
engineering. Students will be made aware of the
tremendous impact of science and technology on society,
but at the same time, become aware of the roles and
limitations of physics, science in general, and technology in
problem solving.
Biology 20 / 30
Biology 20 and 30 are designed for motivated students with a keen interest in biology. It is an academic
science course that is designed to give the students an in depth look at many topics in biology, as well as
further develop scientific thinking and laboratory skills. .
