Sonoma Golf Club
Employee Spot Light
My name is Sean O’Shea. I was born and raised in Petaluma, California. When I
was eight years old, my grandpa introduced me to golf. For eight years, I only
played a few times here and there because I played baseball year-round. In my
sophomore year of high school, I decided to play for the golf team at Casa
Grande High School and never looked back.
In 2011, I graduated from Casa Grande High School. For two years, I attended
Santa Rosa Junior College and worked full time. But, I just felt like something
needed to change. I took a leap of faith at the beginning of 2014 by moving to
Southern California for a year and a half to attend the Professional Golfers
Career College, where I earned an Associate Degree in Professional Golf
Management.
In September 2015, I began working here at Sonoma. The most enjoyable thing
about working here is creating friendships with not only the employees, but
the members as well. I look forward to my future in the golf industry and am
very lucky to be working with some of the most knowledgeable people. I love
playing golf as much as possible in my free time, but believe it or not, I do other
things than just golf. I love going to sporting events and comedy shows. I have
an exciting year ahead. I am moving to a new home in Petaluma in June. Then,
in September, I will be getting married to my fiancée, Kiara, in San Rafael.
