on on on 7 December 1960 Under the the the the scheme all land and and and property belonging to the the the Trust Trust was vested in in in the the the Official Trustee for Charity Charity Land All investments and and cash were transferred under the the the the the authority of of of the the the the the Charity Charity Commissioners into the the the the the names of of of the the the the the official Trustees appointed by the the the Trust Trust Deed 1 Defray management management expenses cost cost of of repairs and and insurance and and any other costs involved in in in the the the management management of of the the the Charity 2 Apply the the the the the excess of of of income for for such charitable purposes for for the the the the the benefit of of of the the the the the inhabitants of of of the the the the the area as the the the the the Trustees think fit It is stated that the the income income must not be used to relieve rates taxes or other public funds The sources of income income are from Stock Investment and property At the the the the present time there is sufficient income for for the the the the Trust’s expenses Small donations are made annually for for charitable purposes within the the community The Trustees Trustees consist of two Nominative and three Co-optative Trustees Trustees 1 Nominative Trustees are appointed appointed by the Parish Council for a a a a a a a a term of of four years The person appointed appointed may but need not be be a a a a member of of the Parish Council 2 Co-optative Trustees Trustees are appointed by the Trustees Trustees to serve for 5 years from persons residing or or or carrying on on business in in in in in or or or near the area of benefit The day day to to day day running of the the the facilities is delegated by the the the Trustees to to the the the the Metcalfe Recreation Committee which consists of of of representatives of the the Village organisations and Parishioners The Trust’s accounts are audited annually and published on on the Charity Commissioner’s web site
