ABOUT THIS REPORT
The Property Sustainability Report 2015 (the “Report”) presents the achievements of the Property Department (“Property”) of The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the “Club”) to building sustainability. The Report reviews Property’s sustainability performance in previous years. This is Property’s second biennial disclosure exercise and, in line with the previous report, this Report includes Property’s Hong Kong based portfolio and activities. Property aims to maintain the biennial reporting schedule to continuously exhibit achievements during the successive reporting periods and communicate future targets and objectives.
The main theme of this Report is Moving Ahead, which complements the spirit of the previous report. Since the previous reporting cycle, the Club has demonstrated tremendous initiative in promoting sustainability. Property is committed to this endeavour. The Property Sustainability Report 2015: Moving Ahead outlines our contributions to this vision, including the use of solar energy water heaters, upgrading racecourse track lights and formulating our Sustainability Framework for Property projects that re ects our holistic, full life cycle approach to sustainability.
