A mother’s love
Mother you will always be the best to this soul.
Remember when you held
My hand and kissed me on my forehead,
I learned to laugh.
Remember when you had my head on
Your chest just above your breast,
I learned ease and comfort, today I crave peace.
Remember when you cried and I cried with you,
I learned that sometimes we need each other despite
Who and what we are.
Remember when you were sad and had a few tear drops,
You held me tight and closer with your arms around me,
I learned that there’s a time when one tends to be lonely,
And it’s not a sin.
Remember when you gave me a bath and smiled as you
Saw that immaculate kid with a pure soul before you,
I learned to love.
Remember when you pointed me that slow moon rising
And you knew someday I will also meet someone special
Beside you, now it’s that time today I embark-on this
Path with all the teachings,
And the knowledge you passed on to me
You gave me what a mother’s love is.
Through all you knew I will be strong,
You knew with time I will grow.
