THAT’S THE WAY THE MONEY FLOWS
"Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and sixpence, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery." -Charles Dickens, David Copperfield
Understanding how money works will help us figure out the best way to control the money that flows through us, instead of letting money control us. Typically, money will flow in and out of our lives on a weekly or monthly basis either from our salary or from payment for work done. On other occasions, we may receive additional lump sums, such as birthdays, gifts or inheritance. These are infrequent though and are not part of our regular flow. The point is that money comes in and money goes out. Money is always moving.
