significantly, our hearts, affect our behaviour towards money. Therefore, it is essential that we begin the process of cutting all emotional ties to money and possessions so that we can learn to behave like administrators. For this reason, we need to consider what we have and evaluate whether we own it or are just borrowing it. Let me clarify that money in itself is neither good or bad. It is all about the position it takes in our understanding. We need to answer the questions: Who owns it? Is viewing ourselves as an ‘owner’ a healthy attitude?
When you have reached this point, I hope that you will have realised what genuinely matters to you. A possible conclusion is that you discover your greatest commitment in life and your core value. I suggest that you will end up with the honest desire to become a person who puts others first – someone who is sincerely concerned about the well-being of other people. Already, we can see that the focus of our minds and hearts will have shifted from a self-serving, self-interest in things (that we don’t own and can’t take with us) to a selfless and giving interest in people (who make our lives truly rich) and how we can share love with those close to us.
Becoming people-focused rather than money-focused begins with an acknowledgement that we are merely stewards of money and material
