MAKING IT TO THE END OF THE MONTH
Let’s examine briefly what it’s like to have an unethical and immoral attitude towards life. Simply put, these dishonest traits eat away at hearts that have the potential to be generous. Eventually, these behaviours destroy us, because they pull us away from our core values and we become trapped in a cycle of disconnection and dissatisfaction.
Conversely, an upright and honest attitude allows moral character and generosity to grow and increase in our hearts. This leads to joy, peace, satisfaction and financial security.
So, why are we so easily swayed to gain more through dishonest means? Already, we’ve seen that discontentment can lead us down this road. Another avenue to dishonesty is fear, especially the fear of lack. This particular fear has a firm grip on us, and it’s extremely difficult for us to be free from its grasp. Sometimes, we’re trapped by this fear because of past experiences; sometimes, it’s because of information we have received. Either way, it causes us to operate in fear, and from this basis, we make bad decisions.
Let me explain it this way: Once a person defines the world or their circumstances as deficient, everything they say and do, particularly regarding money, becomes an effort to overcome the fear that there is not
