Kilmainham Jail will be the first stop it has had some of the most prominent figures in
Irish political history incarcerated within its walls, including Robert Emmet and
Charles Stewart Parnell, and the leaders of Ireland’s 1916 Rising were executed here
for their part in the Rebellion. As a result, it is a site that holds great national
importance and benefits those searching for an insight into Ireland’s history.
Lunch at Cinnamon restaurant prior to departure for The Guinness Storehouse. The
world renowned Guinness Storehouse gives visitors an insight into the history of the
Guinness brand and an opportunity to taste the original Irish stout at its source.
Located at the St James’ Gate Brewery that Arthur Guinness famously bought for £100
in 1759 on a 9000-year lease, the Storehouse is very much linked to the roots of the
Guinness business.
The tour of Dublin's will conclude at Trinity College with a visit to the famed Book of
Kells and the Long Room Library.
