 LITTLE GERMANS NEWTOPIA

 – GROWING UP The adventurous traveler Audun Amundsen is spellbound in

the deep jungle of Mentawai in Indonesia by a people living
IN A NEO-NAZI like they have always done for thousands of years. A shaman,
Aman Paksa, takes Audun under his wing and a lifelong
 COMMUNITY friendship evolves.

As the years pass by, the romantic harmony starts to crumble. Audun is in despair, witnessing the slow and
calm way life is interrupted by rapid modernisation, or rather, by the trash of the modern world. Ancient

animation and documentary. more than just another film about an ancient exotic culture heading for oblivion, but instead an epic story of
          friendship and human nature.

As a child, Elsa played soldier with her beloved grandpa. Full of pride, she used to shout ‘For leader, nation
and fatherland!’ with her arm outstretched in the Nazi salute. Today, she looks back at a childhood based on
hate and lies, trying to understand what her upbringing in a radical right-wing environment has meant for
 her and her own children.
From the emotional perspective of the children involved, we experience what it means to grow up in
such an environment and to be taught day by day to hate the ‘foreign’. How does it feel to grow up in a
world where compassion and affection are secondary and pride in ‘the nation’ stands above everything
else? And who do those ‘little Germans’ become once they grow up? The fate of Elsa and her own children DIRECTOR: AUDUN AMUNDSEN

          HOW TO BE MARRIED

          – A tribute to love and togetherness.

Sidsel and Christian are both 26 years old and live together on a family farm in the Danish countryside. They
have known each other for ten years, been together for six, and now they are finally getting married. Sidsel,
the hopeless romantic who refers to Christian as ‘my prince’, has had a dream of a big wedding ever since she
met her husband-to-be. She feels that getting married is necessary to keep the magic in the relationship and
          to ‘feel something inside’.
Sidsel and Christian have a uniquely straightforward
approach to the world — and to love. They both have
Down’s syndrome and communicate to those around
them - and each other - with complete honesty and no
filter — often looking at things from a surprisingly poetic
and unusual viewpoint, with a philosophical take on life
that we can all learn a lot from.
